Kidstock! is seeking experienced, enthusiastic, and imaginative individuals with a passion for theater, the arts, and educating children.
We are hiring for 4 unique Summer Programs: Creative Arts (PreK ages 4-5) SummerStage (Grades K-1) Jester Troupe (Grades 2-3) KYTE (Grades 4-9) 2024 Program Dates: June 17 through August 30 (no programming on July 1-5) Mon-Fri, 8:00am-5:00pm Scroll down to review the descriptions of various positions before applying. |

GROUP LEADER/
DRAMA COUNSELOR $600-$700/wk |
DESCRIPTION
The Group Leader/Drama Counselor is responsible for leading a group of students, following the schedule, and actively participating in all aspects of the program. Drama Counselors are responsible for bringing a team of 10-16 students through the daily schedule and serving as assistants to our art, drama, and dance instructors. QUALIFICATIONS The ideal candidate will be pleasant, kid-friendly, and creative. Candidates should have experience leading or working with children. We are looking for responsible and energetic people interested in playing creative games with children, fostering a safe environment for creativity and respect, and serving as role models to students. Teens age 16+ and college students are encouraged to apply. Priority consideration is given to former Kidstock! students as well as candidates with the greatest availability. Training will be provided. |
PROGRAM COORDINATORS
$650-$800/wk |
DESCRIPTION
The Program Coordinator is responsible for supervising drama counselors, managing the program schedule, maintaining a safe & creative environment, as well as assisting with drama, art, dance and music as needed. QUALIFICATIONS The ideal candidate will be pleasant, kid-friendly, self motivated, organized, creative, and bold. Candidates should be competent and confident in at least 2 of the following:

OFFICE ASSISTANT
$600-750/wk |
DESCRIPTION
The Office Assistant handles parent communications, manages the schedule, facilitates all necessary communication between programs, assists and supports the Program Directors, and steps in as a substitute as needed in any program. QUALIFICATIONS Candidates should have experience in an office setting and working with children. The ideal candidate has experience in customer service, excels at time management, and is a self-motivated team player. This position requires a working knowledge of gmail and google drive, involves computer work, database management, payment processing, effective and concise email communication, confidence in describing our programs to prospective parents, and coordination with teaching staff. Teens age 16+ and college students are encouraged to apply. Priority consideration is given to former Kidstock! students as well as candidates with the greatest availability. |
ASSISTANT DIRECTORS
$700-$800/wk |
DESCRIPTION
The Assistant Director is responsible for assisting in leading the drama program and devising the original dramatic story for the end of week presentation. QUALIFICATIONS The ideal candidate will be pleasant, kid-friendly, self motivated, organized, creative, and bold. Candidates must have actual experience working with students teaching theater, and/or directing staged productions with children. The ideal candidate will also have experience managing a team of adults. As this program creates original plays based on storybooks, theatrical prompts or parody titles, experience devising, improvising, and/or writing is a plus! Training will be provided. For the right interested candidate, there is the opportunity to grow this position into a year round role with Kidstock! for Fall 2024. |
PIANIST
$700-$900/wk |
DESCRIPTION
The Pianist/Composer is responsible for leading the musical aspect of each week and playing the piano for the end of week stage presentation. QUALIFICATIONS The ideal candidate will be pleasant, kid-friendly, self motivated, organized, creative, and bold. Candidates must have actual experience working with students teaching singing, and/or music directing staged productions with children. Simple song composition ability is strongly desired but not required. The ideal candidate will have strong sight reading skills and the ability to "play by ear". Training will be provided. For the right interested candidate, there is the opportunity to grow this position into a year round role with Kidstock! for Fall 2024. |
VISUAL ART INSTRUCTORS
$700-$900/wk |
DESCRIPTION
The Visual Art Instructor is responsible for developing daily projects for each age group that complement the drama curriculum for that week and leading the instruction of the class time. QUALIFICATIONS The ideal candidate will be pleasant, kid-friendly, and creative. Candidates should be imaginative, resourceful, creative, and have experience creating lesson plans for art with children. |
THEATER DESIGNERS
$700-$900/wk |
DESCRIPTION
The Theater Designer is responsible for creating inclusive opportunities for students to participate in the creation of pros, scenery and costumes for their end of week presentations. QUALIFICATIONS The ideal candidate will be pleasant, kid-friendly, self motivated, organized, creative, and bold. Candidates should be competent and confident in at least 1 of the following:

CREATIVE MOVEMENT SPECIALISTS
$650-$800/wk |
DESCRIPTION
The Creative Movement Specialist is responsible for leading the dance program and devising the choreography for the end of week presentation. QUALIFICATIONS The ideal candidate will be pleasant, kid-friendly, self motivated, organized, creative, and bold. Candidates must have actual experience working with students teaching dance, and/or choreographing staged productions with children. Experience and confidence in creating a safe space for non-dancers to explore creative movement is a must. Training will be provided. |
TOUR SHOW ACTOR
part time JULY 8-AUG 10 $400-$600/wk depending on # of shows |
DESCRIPTION
The Tour Show Actor is responsible for rehearsing and presenting an interactive event that involves dramatic storytelling and improvisation that is clever, creative and child appropriate. QUALIFICATIONS The ideal candidate will be pleasant, kid-friendly, and creative. Candidates should have experience in storytelling, improvisation, character role play and performing for an audience. This is NOT a full time job - it is structured by the performance bookings each week of shows at 10:30 and 2:00pm. Tour Show Actors must have independent reliable transportation to and from off site performances. Paid rehearsal & training provided. |
