The leaves are changing color, school's in session, and Kidstock! is bursting with actors and actresses excited to be on our stage.
We started 3 classes last week - ACTING UP, PLAYERS, and MOVIE MAKING. Captain Bob - that’s me - is teaching all the classes except for Monday’s Acting Up class which is lead by Miss Shannon.
Last week was all about getting to know each other, our fellow actors, and learning to make choices. Our focus and goal is to allow everyone the chance to become a storyteller and choose how to contribute to the tale.
ACTING UP
We read a story called “Click, Clack, Moo: Cows That Type. The game “Wait That’s Not A…” allowed our friends to choose how one object can actually be many different things.
PLAYERS
The young actors were introduced to characters and monsters found in the world of Frankenstein, only their goal was to turn the story into a pig’s tale called Frankenswine. Get ready for lots of bacon talk!
MOVIE-MAKING
These soon to be screen actors were also given the task of creating a world of pigs from the characters in Frankenstein. Filming of their muddy movie will begin next week.
