It was wonderful to get back into the swing of things now that we're all back from vacation.
Our students jumped right back onto the stage as though they never left! In fact, it was quite rewarding to reach this half way point and really see a difference in how the kids approach class. Their excitement for the games, their team working abilities, and most importantly their creativity in making choices.
These last few weeks are sure to be "stage worthy!"
Here's a little of what took place this last week...
What happens when you give a moose a muffin? LOTS of things! We all got to explore what would happen if we shared a tasty treat with our large antlered friend. Not only did we explore that, we also explored other animals that would love to get a snack. The parents all got to get in on the act with games at the end of class. Once again, it was great fun seeing everyone work and act together!
Four weeks ago we started with a title. From there we created scenes that each had phrases. The more we put together, the more the scenes came to life. They're now at a place where a story is truly starting to emerge. With the few weeks remaining, we'll get into even more detail about our story and our characters.
This unique class not only gives students to chance to act in a movie, we're also introducing the actors to some fantastic acting games. Each week Heather has a handful of games we learn that become our activity while we're waiting for our scene to film. Titles like "Slideshow" "Freeze" "Squirt" & "Three-Headed Monster" - you can imagine all the fun they're having!
Believe it or not, SUMMER is almost here and our program is starting to fill up. We'd love to see you join us for a week of camp! Check out our SCHEDULE and we hope to see you this Summer!
