IMPROV - gr. 4-5
Welcome to the BACKSTAGE PAGE for our DRAMACTICS - IMPROV families. Theater is a shared experience, often between actor and audience member, where one relies on the other for theater to happen. Our Kidstock! class is a shared experience between our Educational Artists and our students, but we also believe that our Kidstock! class is a shared experience between you and your child! We hope this page includes you in the creative and imaginative theater play we explore each week!

CURRICULUM
IMPROV focuses on learning improvised comedy concepts and collaboration. Students playfully learn teamwork, cooperation, active listening, and quick thinking skills through a variety of fun (and funny) improv games. Improvisers learn acting and performance skills through character based games and scene work. Each week students participate in an improvised experience allowing them to think from a character’s point of view for an extended time. An end of session showcase allows improvers to share their advancements in scene work and presentational improv games.
