KIDSTOCK!

Health and Safety Protocol and Guidelines

Based on MA State Mandates for Phase 111 - Step 1 Opening

The following guidelines are designed to provide a safer environment for organized youth and adult organizations allowed to re-open in the Massachusetts Phase 111 - Step 1 which were put in place on July 6, 2020 and are subject to change. This includes Arts Programming and the following guidelines are adapted for the return to Kidstock! class.

Social Distancing
  • All persons including customers, employees and vendors should remain at least six feet apart to the greatest extent possible, both inside and outside of the building
  • Signage will be in place to ensure reminders of social distancing for all both inside and outside of the building.
  • Class size will be limited to allow compliance with public health guidelines.
  • Class will be held in The NextDoor Theater, a 5000 square foot building adjacent to the primary Kidstock! building, allowing Kidstock! students to avoid contact with any other student programming.
  • Face masks will be required at all times both inside and outside the building and during classes for students, parents, teachers and staff. Students should bring a minimum of 2 face masks clearly labeled with the student's name.  Mask breaks will be supervised as needed OUTSIDE of the building, weather permitting.
  • There will be no singing.
  • Interior spaces will be clearly delineated as a reminder for students/staff to maintain a six foot distance within the space.
  • Class has been scheduled so that each group will be the only group to enter and exit the building at that time.
  • Parents are not allowed to wait in the building and are asked to drop off and pick-up outside from the convenient circular driveway.
  • Parents needing to communicate with the office may do so by phone or a staff member will meet them at the front door.
Health & Hygiene Protocols
  • Students and their families will be asked to complete a short survey online before coming to class.
  • Hand sanitizer will be provided onsite for use when desired by students or requested by staff.
  • Students will be asked to wash hands or sanitize both before entering a class and upon leaving.
  • Students are encouraged to bring their own sanitizer so that they can sanitize at their own discretion throughout the day.
  • High contact surfaces will be cleaned and disinfected at appropriate intervals throughout the day with products meeting EPA criteria.
  • Bathrooms will be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected at the end of each class day.
  • Props etc. will not be used in classes.
  • Students should bring a water bottle with their name clearly marked for their own use.
  • There will be no snack time during class.
Staffing and Operations
  • All staff have been trained in policies related to social distancing and hygiene protocols.
  • Students and staff who are not feeling well or are exhibiting any symptoms of illness, including but not limited to fever, cough, sore throat, sneezing, inflammation in the hands or feet, etc. must not attend classes and should notify the Kidstock! office as soon as possible. Similarly, if a student or member of a student's household, is diagnosed with Covid-19, the student or family should notify the Kidstock! office as soon as possible.
  • In the event of a Covid-19 confirmed case by either a staff member, student or family member, Kidstock! will cooperate with the Department of Public health and all relevant local authorities.
  • If for any reason the facility is directed to or it is decided to be in the best interest of safety to shut down, classes will continue as scheduled via Zoom.
  • No refunds or credits will be given for any missed days or changes in format.
