OUR MOST POPULAR QUESTION:  What do I need to do to register my child for EXTENDED DAY?
THE ANSWER:  YES- this year is different and you DO need to REGISTER & PAY IN ADVANCE!

EXTENDED DAY HOURS
  • There is no Morning Extended Day for Summer 2021
  • Afternoon Extended Day has 2 specific pick up times: 5:30 PM or 6:00 PM
  • $75/week reserved and paid in advance
we hope to return to our very popular and flexible extended day program for the summer of 2022

Please note that Extended Day is convenience, not part of our structured day, and therefore does not have a curriculum.  We will be outside for the majority of the time weather permitting.

ABSENCES
Please notify our office by phone on the day your child is going to be absent.
ARRIVAL
You will be assigned a specific entry point where you must be able to drop your child off and not need to accompany them into the building.  We regret that assisting with emotional transitions will be more difficult for our staff to do responsibly with covid restrictions.
ATTENDANCE
Our week offers a unique cumulative team experience so everyone's attendance for the entire day is requested.

EARLY DISMISSAL - PLEASE READ

Early dismissal is respectfully discouraged - our week is carefully planned and cumulative and leaving early can result in students not having the ability to be prepared to fully participate in the program's presentation if they are not present to learn the songs & dances, rehearse the material, or finish the art projects that their peers have worked on in their absence.

Please refrain from scheduling other activities or medical appointments during the week you are participating with us, or double booking your child and prioritizing another activity's obligations over their commitment to their Kidstock! cast mates.

If you absolutely must dismiss early, please speak with the office in advance to let them know, as well as that morning to remind them - we are unable to offer individual early dismissals after 4:00 pm when we begin preparing for other group dismissals.

This summer once you leave for the day you will not be able to return to the programming.

DISMISSAL CODE
we use your child's BIRTHDATE as their unique DISMISSAL CODE

  • please share this info with anyone picking up your child
  • your carpool should share birthdates
  • we will not dismiss a child to an adult who does not know the child's birthdate

CODE OF GOOD CONDUCT

PLEASE REVIEW THIS WITH YOUR CHILD
Kidstock! expects everyone to try their best, support each other, and provide positive feedback and encouragement.
Intolerance of differences, mean-spirited words or aggressive physical behavior is never tolerated.
We all must listen, show respect and celebrate discovering what makes each of us unique.

EACH OF US AT KIDSTOCK! WILL RESPOND TO EVERY SITUATION WE ARE AWARE OF OR HAVE BROUGHT TO OUR ATTENTION.

WATER BOTTLES - Snack - Lunch

There will be no access to a shared water fountain - every student should bring a water bottle that can be refilled at the sink.
STUDENTS SHOULD BRING ALL OF THEIR BELONGINGS IN A SMALL BACKPACK, LABELED WITH THEIR NAME OR OTHER RECOGNIZABLE ELEMENT ON THE OUTSIDE, THAT CAN BE EASILY TRANSPORTED WITH THEM THROUGHOUT THE DAY.
WE ARE A NUT FREE ZONE
this policy is strictly enforced for the safety of all our students
please read labels carefully and note that we consider "may contain nuts" to be potentially unsafe.

WE ERR ON THE SIDE OF CAUTION AND CONSIDER COCONUT & PINE NUTS A POSSIBLE ALLERGEN AS WELL.
SNACK
All students should bring a NUT FREE morning snack.

We inspect all snacks - any label that reads "contains" or "may contain" nuts or coconut we consider unsafe and will be kept in the office until dismissal.  A substitute snack will be provided at an automatic charge of $5 to your account.

PLEASE BE AWARE THAT MOST BREAKFAST/ENERGY BARS, PLAIN M&Ms, and MOST CHEESE & CRACKER SETS are labeled "may contain nuts" and are therefore considered as "unsafe".  Almonds, Almond Milk & Coconut are also allergens we consider unsafe.

LUNCH
Students must bring a NUT FREE lunch
THERE WILL BE NO LUNCH PROGRAM OFFERED FOR SUMMER 2021 - EVERYONE MUST BRING THEIR LUNCH

CELL PHONES, FIDGET SPINNERS, ETC

CELL PHONES & ELECTRONIC GAME DEVICES
We are unable to monitor the appropriate use of the internet and can not promise the security of cell phones so we suggest that they be left at home.  The office will respectfully take away any device being inappropriately used by a student during the day's activities and keep it safe in the office for pick up at dismissal.  If a student chooses to bring a cell phone or electronic device to Kidstock! the appropriate use of it must be limited to lunch time and extended day.

HAND HELD TOYS & STUFFED ANIMALS
The Kidstock! day is an active one, scheduled with many activities, all of which involve the unrestricted use of hands.  The office will respectfully take away any toy being inappropriately used by a student during the day's activities and keep it safe in the office for pick up at dismissal.  If a student chooses to bring a toy to Kidstock! the appropriate use of it must be limited to lunch time and extended day.  WE STRONGLY DISCOURAGE ANYTHING BEING BROUGHT TO KIDSTOCK THIS SUMMER SINCE IT WILL NEED TO BE CARRIED BY THE CHILD IN THEIR BACKPACK ALL DAY LONG.

CHANGE OF CLOTHES

BATHROOM ACCIDENTS
Everyone must be toilet trained and fully independent in the bathroom, however accidents do happen.  If you feel your child is prone to having an accident we would appreciate you providing an extra set of clothes in a labeled plastic storage bag and dropping it off to the office on Monday for us to keep on hand for the week. Kidstock! does keep extra clothes in various sizes for such situations, but it is always easier for us to have your child change into their own clothes.

MEDICATIONS

EPI PENS & INHALERS
If you identified on your registration form that your child has either of these, we require that they be handed to the office on Monday morning and we will keep them until dismissal on Friday.
DAILY MEDICATIONS
No student is allowed to have any medicine in their bag or on their person during the camp day.  Please provide the office with the daily dosage in a clearly labeled plastic bag, along with the empty prescription bottle or a copy of the label.
