OUR COMPANY
Kidstock! Creative Theater is an arts education company focused on empowering young people to self-author their own productions through interactive story theater.
Kidstock! offers after school classes for ages 3-14, summer camp for ages 4-15, birthday parties, off site enrichment programs, actor-educator residencies in public and private schools, professional staff development training and touring educational theater shows for live audiences.
Kidstock!, founded in 1992 by Creative Director Brian Milauskas, empowers young actors and artists to express themselves by providing them with quality instruction and resources to support their imaginations and talents.
It was founded on the belief that an audition should not prevent a child with interest in the arts from participating alongside those with more skill or experience. The skills of creative problem solving, public speaking and cooperative planning are the educational experiences we explore through dramatic play.
Kidstock! prides itself in having established a style and curriculum focused on the process of creating original theater and art and celebrates the potential each individual has to add to the team's project goal. This hands-on approach involves students working cooperatively with professional actors, musicians and designers in developing the characters and plot scenarios for their scripts, penning lyrics for songs and creating steps for dances, designing scenery and costumes that later become projects they complete, and rehearsing a production as a team where every member is a vital piece of the puzzle.
